The Bearspaw Area Structure Plan is under revision and review. The Bearspaw ASP is important to everyone in Church Ranches. The ASP covers such things as land use strategy, which, in part, applies to aggregate extraction (gravel pits) in Bearspaw, including in the vicinity of Church Ranches. The most recent draft ASP (December 2024) proposes to prohibit new aggregate development within the ASP, an important point that needs to be supported by our community if we wish to keep gravel pits away from our residential areas.
